As the agent becomes too creative in their construction of more complex patterns, eventually he will degrade into what appears to be hallucination. The crowd is the hallucination, and the agent joins it unwittingly. Part of the crowd his hallucinations can be vile without consequence. He falls into it, blurs into the crowd until he, the individual, will eventually break down.
